Jennifer Drews Olson ’97 is happily employed as the regional planner for the Paradies Shops in Phoenix. Olson, who received a Bachelor of Science in retail merchandising and management, has been in the retail industry for the past 12 years.
Paradies Shops began in 1960 when the Paradies family opened a toy store at the Atlanta Municipal Airport. Now the company has stores in more than 70 airports in the U.S. and Canada and in some resorts and convention centers.
Olson chose UW-Stout for the retail program and says it was instrumental in her present career.
Working as the regional planner is just one of Olson’s jobs. She is a fitness buff and in 2011 was crowned Mrs. Arizona International. Olson also promotes heart healthy lifestyles through the American Heart Association.
One of her favorite memories of attending UW-Stout was watching at a local pub as the Green Bay Packers won the 1997 Super Bowl.
