FORTY-SEVEN YEARS of FRIENDSHIP

ABOVE: In the pyramid, they are, bottom from left, Gehl, Wroblewski and Evenson. Middle, Carel and Foley. Top, Jacobs.
BOTTOOM: From left to right, in Mexico, they are Gail Henderson Carel, Judy Evenson, Karen Kaiser Jacobs, Charlotte Johns Wroblewski, Jo Fredrickson Gehl and, seated, Susan Fleetham Foley.
They met as freshmen at Tainter Hall in 1964, taking time out from making pyramids to even study a little. Forty-seven years later the 1968 graduates still are friends. In 2010 the group, dubbed the Melrose girls after the house they eventually lived in off campus, took a cruise together to Cozumel, Mexico.
