Walter Bandlow ’48, Lakewood, Ohio, is beginning his 18th year of teaching at Lorain County Joint Vocational School. He is an instructor on the Acme-Gridley Multiple Spindle Bar Machine.

Keith Togstad MS ’64, Richmond, Minn., has recently retired as a public school superintendent and from university teaching/dean’s positions.

Willie Ellis ’68, Moline, Ill., has retired from John Deere Seeding Group after 27 years of employment with the company.

Marlene Wieman Backhaus ’69, Menomonie, has retired from UW-Stout after 30 years of service.

Cheryl Eslinger Chacka ’69 is retired after teaching kindergarten for 35 years at Eagle Point School, Oakdale, Minn.

Thomas Devine ’69, Jackson, N.J., was appointed assistant dean in the School of Applied Science and Technology at Thomas Edison State College.

Marilyn Wisnefske Kasten ’69, West Bend, received a Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Fellowship Award, which honors teachers for inspiring love of learning in students, motivation and for service inside and outside the classroom. She is a first-grade teacher at Kewaskum Elementary School.
