Small Company Becomes Leader in Software Development

Stephen Burke ’67 has led his small technology-based company to become a leader in software development for the health care field. In the past 15 years, the software developed by DDOTS Inc. revolutionized oncology research and provided the foundation for a comprehensive approach to clinical trials management software.

Burke was recognized for this innovation this fall.

DDOTS Inc. was one of only 44 companies in the United States to be selected for a 2007 Tibbetts Award from the Small Business Technology Council. The honor is a national award made to small companies that exemplify the best of the Small Business Innovation Research program.
